Fly Away Solo

For as long as I can remember
I’ve been stuck in this nest, watching life pass me by.
For as long as I can remember
I’ve been waiting for a special someone to carry me away.

I no longer want to be in this nest;
I no longer want to wait for that special someone.
I’m going to spread my wings and fly away.
I’m going to fly as far as I can;
I’m going to fly as high as I can, and I won’t look back.

I will be leaving everyone behind,
Because I fly solo.

So take one last look at me as I fly into the night sky
